Biography

As Chair of the Research Ethics Board, IH, I work with colleagues at Interior Health and provincially and over twenty (20) members of Research Ethics Board for the ethical conduct for research involving human beings.   In my role I has responsibilities for the approval of applications, REB exemptions and review of both full board and minimal risk research applications.  Brining tot this role is my over twenty years of regional management for the delivery of clinical oncology trails and serving on various committees with the Canadian Clinical Trials Group, Kingston Ontario.  I have held grants and participated in research focusing on rural and remote, palliative and end of life care and is currently a Co-Investigator for oral cancer cavity research in South Asia.

As the Executive Director for Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration Foundation, I provide support to twenty-five healthcare volunteers working towards achieving the mission: to help provide education, mentorship and funding in resource-constrained countries to build capacity for sustainable disease prevention and palliative care programs; increasing health in wider communities and populations.

For the majority of my career, I worked at the BC Cancer providing leadership in the areas of administration\operations, palliative care, research and clinical trials.

I hold a MSc from UBC, Faculty of Medicine and in the past five years completed the following Certifications: Experience LINX, Coaching Out of the Box, Collaborative Institutional Training Institute and is Network of Network (N2) SOP Compliant
